The Plague of Women, part II

“Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man, Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.  But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith. And withal they learn [to be] idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan.”  (1Ti 5:9-15)

May 19, 2003 -  The carnal human mind is so averse to God’s way of doing things that even among those who call themselves “Christians”, we find that the way of the world predominates - and those who would challenge the failed cultural norms are quickly labeled “haters” or unenlightened.

“Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” (Gal 4:16)

My ministry has focused on calling attention to the apostasy in the so-called Christian Church, specifically we have heavily focused on the failures and abominations wrought by weak, sissified men who worship a false Jesus.  Women have applauded my books and articles which expose the last day’s deception that religious men are under, yet I have found them to be far less receptive of rebuke in an even more dangerous heresy.  In my first Plague of Women article, I centered your attention on God’s commandment regarding women in authority, and the abominable arguments made in order to lift women to such a position (both in the home and in the “church”).  In this article, we will focus on the practical applications of the scriptures, and the results of disobeying God’s commands in this regard.

“In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.  Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.  But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.  For Adam was first formed, then Eve.  And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.” (1Ti 2:9-14)

In emphasizing his point about the necessity of a woman being in subjection, Paul appeals not to the culture, or to the evident qualities of women (although I would not hesitate to do so once the scripture is made plain), but to the fall and to creation itself.  This ought to cause us to cast away any interpretation that attempts to sidestep the plain teaching of the text and to write it off as a “cultural” phenomenon particular to the area, or a dated ruling concept necessary only until women had properly advanced in the faith.  We should also not allow “amendments” to be drawn up against the commands of God because of SITUATIONS and CIRCUMSTANCES.

I do not hesitate to draw your attention to the absolute plague of female false prophets and teachers that have swarmed over the planet in these last days.  If you were to examine the MALE false prophets and teachers, look behind them and you will almost inevitably find a manipulative and conniving female using witchcraft and manipulation to operate her puppet.

Experience and the evident examination of our so-called Christian culture show the folly of our current mindset.  Fools and liars, deceiving and being deceived have replicated themselves to the point where virtually no meeting, homechurch or cell group can function without effectively building ramparts and earthen fortifications against their entry.  In a recent trip to Portland, female witches, operating under the guise of Christianity, would fix their gaze not on the Bible teaching and preaching that was made available to them, but to the sheep themselves, desiring and considering who they may beguile with their wicked “words of wisdom” or prophetic utterances.  They have invaded our homegroups, drawing the weak unto themselves and prating against spiritual authority with their words and their witchcraft.  They write to us daily, or show up at our meetings because, according to them, “God sent us to you with a word for you”.

The modern experience of heretical Charismania, driven by overt female sorcery and the leadership of demonically driven personal popes in the apostate pulpits of America and around the world, has convinced women that they are little female Godesses, when in fact they are homegrown Persephone’s and Astarte’s with devils as legions driving them to even greater heights of disobedience and rebellion.  Men refuse to tell the truth because more than 80% of the “church members” are women, and tithes and offerings plunge when women are challenged.

Our opening scripture verses show us that the threat from the Plague of Women was so serious that Paul (through the operation of the Holy Spirit) even banned widows who were under 60 years of age from attendance in the Church.  Then, he set the bar so high for entrance to those who were over 60 years of age, that it is made certain that only the most pious and Godly women could ever enter in.  Why?  Why such desperate measures?  Because we know that our enemy is as a murderous lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Our defenses should exceed the wiles and strength of our enemy.  If you think Paul is being extreme, then maybe you should pray that God would give you a glimpse into eternal hellfire.  Talk about extreme!  The guarding of your souls is worth every extreme measure, and this particular enemy is so powerful, having the false God of sex and earthly companionship at her command.

VIOLATING THE 1ST COMMANDMENT OF GOD

The culture, Television, Movies and Music, uniformly serving the devices of Satan, have lifted up their voice against Biblical womanhood.  Paul says, “I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan.”

We are to give no quarter to the enemy.  You young men, heed these words.  We are warned against marrying the Canaanite women, the women of the land who have been brought up with false gods and with sorcery:

“Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:  But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:  For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:  Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;  And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.” (Exodus 34:12-16)

This scripture is found in the 34th Chapter of Exodus in a dissertation on the 1st commandment, God’s perennial law against idolatry and the worshipping of other gods.  The perennial nature of this law is evident in the words that we have already read from the pen of the Apostle Paul.  Who is a woman of the covenant other than one who abides by God’s word?  And who is a woman of the “land” (the world) other than one reviles God’s authority and who rejects God’s word?  God very particularly specifies that we are NEVER to take wives of the world, because by doing so, they cause us to worship and to go a “whoring” after their gods.  What is it to commit this idolatry if it is not to allow these worldly women to rule over us and to bow to a Jesus of their own making?

There is no such thing as a “little” rebellion.  There is no such thing as a “little” leaven that does not leaven the whole lump.  I have no patience for a woman who tells me, “I am USUALLY submissive to my husband.”  Just as you cannot be a “little bit” saved, you can not engage in a “little” witchcraft.

The Holy Spirit begins his dissertation on Biblical womanhood in Proverbs with an exhortation to men,

“Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.” (Pro 31:3)

God has called the man Prophet, Priest and King in his household, and to give his throne, even for a second, to a woman, is to revile God and to slander His name and character.  In an act of contrast, the same Proverb examines for us a virtuous woman:

“Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.  The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.  She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.  She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.  She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.  She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.  She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.  She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.  She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.  She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.  She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.  She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.  She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.  Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.  She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.  Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.  She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.  She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.  Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.  Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.  Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.  Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.” (Pro 31:10-31)

So we are faced with the inevitable conclusion that there are only two women in all of scripture.  They are contrasted throughout all of the Holy Bible, and their fruit becomes evident in the book of Revelation when one woman is found clothed in the Sun, a picture of God’s glorious church, humble and adorned in righteousness, the other, riding a foul beast, clothed in harlotry and presumption, rising up against God in rebellion.  Do not ever deceive yourself into thinking that what I am speaking about is not a life and death issue, for you will ignore me at your own peril.  I say AWAKE! to the men and women of God’s election.  Do not be deceived.  Repent and turn your folly over to God so that He might chastise you righteously as His children.  Do not fall for the wisdom of the world that commands that we “give our strength unto women”.

Do not give place to God’s enemy, the women of the covenant will love God’s rod and his staff, they will be a comfort unto her and she will seek His humility daily.  Religious women who rebel against the plain teaching of scripture, twisting it and modifying it in order to maintain power and authority, are NOT the women of God, but of the devil.  To these women I say that the ire and anger that is rising up in you as you read this is the product of your rebellion and not of righteous indignation.  If you are in rebellion against your husband, then you will repent or you will evidence yourself as a child of the devil.

SITUATIONAL REBELLION

More often than not, I have experienced women who utilize their CIRCUMSTANCES to rationalize their behavior.  They will say, “I must assume authority in my family because my husband will not”, or worse, “It is okay for me to be this way because my husband always makes mistakes”.

The curse that has come upon women and the world after the fall can be directly attributed to Adam’s mistake.  He heeded the voice of his wife.  We are not permitted to amplify the sin of the fall by using the fallen nature of man to rationalize more fallen behavior.  Of course husbands make mistakes - but these mistakes do not authorize rebellion and witchcraft.  I know men who have LONG repented of their error, and who have sought God’s ways with diligence, yet their wives still utilize past sins as a weapon of their warfare against God. You owe allegiance to GOD and to His mighty word.  Do that which is required of you and quit looking for reasons to despise God’s plan.

If we are to gauge our own obedience to God’s word by our circumstances and situations, then what RULE are we to use to measure our behavior?  Does the fallen mind of cursed men and women usurp authority from the scripture?  God forbid.  The scripture is to be our rule, and on this subject there is no room for “many interpretations”. Paul is so concerned about this culture of situational rebellion that he goes so far as to BAN a large portion of the population from even attending the church.  He then asks those women that do attend to utilize self-control and piety by remaining SILENT in the church, and to humbly ask questions of their husbands at home.  Let us contrast this with the religious women of today, women who even bring a reproach upon the name of Christ by daring to call themselves CHRISTIANS.  They sneak about privately, wagging their tongues, teaching on “anointing” and prophecy - giving devil inspired “words of knowledge”, starting their own “ministries” proposing to teach and even to debate the scriptures for their own glory.  They would ascend to the pulpit or the throne itself if they could, standing with their foul feet with which they trample the scripture for wicked and depraved ends.

DIVORCED WOMEN

Most of the women who I see defiling the Body of Christ and spoiling God’s church are single, they are divorced, or they are married to limp, weak and wimpy men.  Divorced women in particular have wrought havoc and devastation in the remnant bodies.

One woman, who had been married and divorced three times, told me that she had been “forced” to serve as a leader and an authority because God had not given her a Godly man.  Because she had despised God’s law, defamed His character, played the harlot for her own concerns, this woman felt FORCED to serve as a leader over men.  She bullied men and felt authorized to do so because of her estrangement from those she had divorced.  I suppose for her next promotion, she will murder her children and build molten images to Baal.  You do not ascend in authority because of your past wickedness.

A few women (but very few) are divorced through no fault of their own.  They tried to serve in a Godly fashion, but their poor choice of a husband has born bitter fruit.  To these women I would say this, although the product of your marriage was not totally out of your area of responsibility (behold your husband, the fruit of your wisdom), I understand that you have since come to a knowledge of the truth and you have desired to live Godly in Christ Jesus.  Now your husband is dead to you, and you are freed from his tyranny according to 1 Corinthians 7:15, but this does not free us from the warnings of the same author (Paul) to Timothy in 1st Timothy chapter 5.  You are still a widow spiritually, and we are still to be very wary of what we allow concerning the church.  Some might call that legalism, but we are well aware that the preaching of LIFE is a foul stench to those in rebellion against God.

WOMAN MARRIED TO UNBELIEVERS

The Gospel and the church cannot be held accountable to the poor decisions we make before God enlightens us.  Although you are now in God’s glorious light, you will still reap what you have sowed in your past rebellion.  Paul is clear in his exhortation for women to remain with their unbelieving spouses (this is not to say that women should countenance physical abuse, adultery, etc.):  “And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him” (1Co 7:13).  It is our desire that the believing woman would pray for her unbelieving spouse and serve him as the scripture requires, that she might win him to the Gospel by her piety and humility.

The believing husband is not relieved of his duty to serve and protect an unbelieving wife, and we can know that God will ultimately bring recompense upon our sin through carnal chastisements.  To not hold Godly authority and headship in the house is SIN, and we are not relieved from it because we poorly chose our spouse.  The man is encouraged to assume and exert Godly authority in his home and over his wife and children.  If the wife will not submit to Godly authority, but seeks to depart - then we are not to prevent her, but to let her depart:  “But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.” (1Corinthians 7:15)

What are all the words of God if they are not the very Gospel?  We may choose to look at circumstances and begin to rationalize and derive conclusions based on carnal realities, those conclusions being in variance to the plain command of God.  But I say to you that it is not your circumstances that have created you, but God has created you.  We need merely ask if God had available to Him all the information regarding you and your circumstances when He created you.  Is an omniscient and omnipresent God qualified to better judge your circumstances, or is it possible that there are elements of those circumstances that slipped his notice?  Knowing from all eternity every circumstance regarding you and your life, God CHOSE not to include exceptional amendments to His sovereign commands for situational reasons.

I have looked upon the sin and wickedness of our culture, and I have watched as it has invaded and spoiled the Temple of professing believers who foolishly call themselves according to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I MUST HATE WOMEN?

It is an easy charge to accuse me of “hating women”.  The world will declare it.  I have received this stripe from all quarters, but it is not true.  I love women, which is why I must tell them the truth.  Heaven and Hell are called as witnesses against this charge.  If I hated women, I would refuse to tell them the peril they are in.  If I hated God’s church, I would stand by and let it continue to be ravaged by the Plague of Women.

To invert God’s authority structure is to plainly announce a hatred for God.  Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Sam. 15:23), and witchcraft reigns in the place of Godliness.

Let us be found worshipping God, and not the idols and false gods of this wicked land.  Refuse the Canaanite woman and her gods.

Your servant in Christ Jesus,

Michael Bunker
